Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why am I hearing a loud, screeching echo?

This is a common acoustic phenomenon called an Audio Feedback Loop. It occurs when your microphone picks up the sound that is coming out of your speakers, amplifies it, and sends it back out, over and over again. To stop this immediately, turn off the megaphone or lower the "Output Volume" slider. Using headphones eliminates this issue entirely.

Can I boost the volume if my mic is too quiet?

Yes. By default, the volume is set to 100% (normal level). If you are using this as a live audio routing tool for a presentation and your voice is too low, you can use the volume slider to boost the digital gain up to 200%. Be careful, as too much boost can cause audio distortion.

Does this tool record my voice?

No. This specific tool acts strictly as a mic to speaker conduit. It passes audio straight to the speakers without saving it. If you need to save your audio, please use our dedicated Voice Recorder tool instead.
